Established in 2024, the Asia Grassroots Forum was created to address a structural gap: while financial inclusion has expanded access, prosperity and financial health remains uneven across rural and underserved grassroots communities in Asia.
The Forum advances dialogue, alignment, and action around the next phase of inclusive growth: embedding long-term financial wellbeing, resilience, and responsible innovation at the core of economic development.
Participation is by invitation to ensure balanced representation and substantive exchange.
Since its inception in 2024, the Forum has convened senior leaders from institutions including the World Bank, IFC, FMO, Temasek, regional central banks, and leading grassroots finance organizations across Asia and beyond.
The Forum has served as a platform for cross-sector collaboration, partnership formation, and capital–policy dialogue in advancing financial health.
The 2026 Forum is hosted by Amartha in collaboration with Accion and Women’s World Banking.
Founded in 2010, Amartha has served over 3.7 million rural women-led MSMEs across Indonesia through inclusive, AI-enabled financial services. Present in over 50,000 villages, Amartha aims to advance grassroots financial health and prosperity at scale.

The Asia Grassroots Forum 2025 represents a crucial platform for addressing the challenges and opportunities in grassroots economic development, bringing together key stakeholders to pioneer solutions for inclusive growth in the intelligent age.
